I htink she's lost her heart. And now she's living with the help of some technical device, as well as her heart, which still exists, but apart from her, also living with the help of a technical device which is like a cage for it. I can imagine so well how this heartless girl grows up to a a heartless woman, living apart from her own heart, loving technical (material) things only and never beeing really healthy.
This remembers me so much of the fate of probably many western kids. Parents don't have time for their kids, cause of work or many other reasons, but they spoil them a lot with toys and all the other luxury you can get so easily in western societies. So in a way they replace their love with material (technical) things. Kids "loose" their ability to love in a certain way and become very material as grown ups.
That picture is so great because it shows that thought so well. You really have to stare at it and then you start to think...
